Passover begins at sundown today and it's holy week in Christendom. Yesterday was Palm\Passion Sunday, a schizophrenic celebration beginning with a triumphal procession and ending with the passion. The weather followed the same rythm with blue sky and sun in the morning followed by cloudy skies (still good for gardening) which progressed to showers and drizzle after dark.
Outside blooms abound although flower thieves have helped themselves to most of the hellebore blooms in the parking strips. I'm tempted to dig the plants and move them to the inside garden but there are others who walk by and enjoy them without taking them and there are more hellebores in pots waiting to be planted inside so they'll stay in the parking strip. Funny, not a single daffodil in the same space has been "liberated." Sorry for the digression. Lots from which to choose today. Flowers of Camellia japonica 'Nuccio's Pearl' have just started opening. They start out like this and then fade from the center outward to a gorgeous pearly white color.

Joining the camellia are a couple of blooms of Daffodil 'British Gamble'

All were thrown into an amethyst-colored glass vase.
Joined here by a glass egg from a long ago Glass Eye Studio seconds sale. Also added were palm blades that I had to drag home from church.
And three decorated chicken eggs.
