Wednesday Vignette is hosted by Anna at Flutter and Hum. On the day after Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day each month, Foliage Follow-Up is hosted by Pam at Digging.
Acer palmatum 'Emerald Lace' is usually fairly late to change color. While some of the maples are totally leafless, the color show is in full swing with this one!
I've forgotten the name of this one. It's foliage was reddish burgundy all summer and is now blazing orange.
Which looks cool next to this Fatsia japonica 'Spiders Web.'
There is a drawback of falling foliage. Rest assured that the leaf blower was able to remove this quickly. If there's any left, the shop vac will do the trick and I won't even get stabbed.
Meanwhile in the greenhouse, the rhizomatous begonia 'Autumn Ember' glows as it's name suggests.
Last but not least, the persimmons are getting more orange every day and haven't been bothered by the squirrels this year. Most likely because they've been too busy digging up the tulip bulbs I just planted.
