Happy All Hallows Day/ Dia de los Muertos

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Allhallowseen (AKA Halloween.)  At Watson's Nursery earlier in October, I took some pictures to use later but the month got away from me so here they are now.

I love looking at the displays at places like this to get ideas.

All of these displays are now dismantled and the last of the spooky decor is on the discount tables.  A bit of harvest/Thanksgiving stuff remains but for the most part, Christmas is taking over, trees are being decorated and featured fragrances are leaning toward Frazier Fir and Gingerbread.

It's fun to look back a couple of weeks.
I love Christmas as much as anyone but I think that Halloween and Thanksgiving are even more fun in some ways.

While Watson's collection of giftware, decor, and stuff has grown tremendously, one of the things that I admire is that  both indoor and outdoor plants remain an area of focus year round.

We're so lucky to live in a region where conifers are not the only options for winter interest.

Although, they're quite varied and beautiful!

A kind worker saw me peeking into one of the working houses to get a glimpse of these agaves and asked if I'd like a tour.  Swell!

While Watson's doesn't start or grow on a lot of it's stock anymore, they still produce some.  Here we see some of next year's fuchsia baskets in their infancy.
BTW, I got one of the agaves later during the 40% off sale on all perennials.
