Saturday at Jungle Fever

Every now and then, when Jerry, the proprietor of Jungle Fever Exotics Nursery, needs to be away, I get to play at the nursery.  Saturday last was one such day and I was thrilled to see so many improvements happening along with lots of groovy plants (as always!)

Ranunculus ficoria 'Double Mudd' from Xera Plants wanted to come home with me so I made sure to sell them all before the end of the day!

Oh the greens and golds of spring foliage!

Bleeding Heart (Lamprocapnos spectabilis né Dicentra spectabilis) is such a photogenic creature.

Podophyllum 'Spotty Dotty' is one of those plants of which I have plenty but because I love them, have the urge to buy more when I see them.  Do you experience that urge with favorite plants?

Bergenia is a reliable workhorse of the garden with bold foliage that takes on burgundy coloration in the winter and has cheerful pink or white flowers in the spring.

Trifolium 'Jessica'  Looks like fancy clover to me.  Such pretty markings!

Tree ferns look a bit exposed with the winter thinning of the bamboo grove.  Fear not, new culms will be poking out of the ground soon!

My purple yucca never looked this grand and finally was given away.   Such a striking color and texture combination.

 Acacia cognata 'Cousin Itt.'

Concrete tables o' fun.

The large eucalyptus succumbed to one of our phormium-killing winters but has been left as sculpture.  So sad to see it perish as it was a beauty.

I'm always blown away by Jerry's creativity.  The orange handrails are his creation and ar made of concrete.

Come sit a spell.

If it's raining, come on into the greenhouse.

You may remember the sink from a previous post.  Jerry's added this sponge garden.  Is that fun or what?   If you're ever in the area, a visit to Jungle Fever is a must!

Namaste.
