In A Face On Tuesday

Fall is in full swing and with lows predicted in the upper thirties in the coming week, it feels like winter is here already.  Okay, it's only one night and the prediction is 39 degrees but last time that happened, Allison's garden (it's at a higher elevation than mine and quite a bit further from the bay) got frost and, obviously, got a lower temp than we did.  While I enjoy lighting candles, preparing for Thanksgiving, and decorating for Christmas (some years) I do miss the longer, carefree days of summer and playing in the garden.  You might say that I have mixed emotions.

To help pass the long nights of winter, I've decided to add a new feature to my blog:  In A Face on Tuesday.  (In a Vase on Monday is a wildly popular meme in which I often participate,  hosted by Cathy at Rambling in the Garden. No disrespect is intended.)   Since there's a collection of head/face/other body part shaped vessels hanging around, and word play is always fun I'll try and use them in different ways each Tuesday and post the results.

This week, "Mixed Emotions"

Hope this isn't to "in your face."

It's difficult to see the beaters through the heavy glass.  Perhaps they should be spray painted white.

You're welcome to join in the fun if you're hip to that sort of thing.

Cryptanthus and something else from the crypt.  Both came from Saturday's field trip to Mukilteo, Woodinville, and Maltby/Snohomish. More on that later this week.
