After returning from our various travels, Alison and I decided to touch base with each other and have lunch at Windmill Nursery (see previous posts here.)
High summer and the gardens are looking lovely. There were several white brugmansias about as well. Is it any wonder that people choose this as a wedding venue?
Inside were lots of fun things including a great mixed planter in a frost proof pot on sale for a ridiculously low price which barely fit in Alison's plant mobile. We were having so much fun looking at things that I forgot to take many pictures.
These would work well with galvanized stock tanks.
Wait, where did Alison go? There she is, flirting with some guy. You've got to watch those "shy" ones all the time!
We had a grand time at lunch and looking at all kinds of plants. I considered a gorgeous colocasia but decided that there was no place in my garden for it and it was a bit late in the season to get one. Begonias on the other hand...
This one hitched a ride to Tacoma.
What a cool sign. We didn't pick up any chocolate colored plants but Alison invited me to see her gorgeous garden and to have dessert, home made chocolate pots de crème, which we ate on her peaceful deck overlooking her back garden.
Thanks, Alison, for a fun day and for the delicious dessert! Gardening friends are precious!
